Momentum Lab Sprint

Crew Efficiency

Enrolling now for February 16–March 13, 2026

A practical sprint for Operations leaders who want to understand what crew efficiency is really telling them, and what to do about it before the season ramps up.

Why This Sprint Matters

Crew efficiency is one of the most talked-about metrics, but do you really know what to do with it?

Most teams can see the numbers. Fewer trust them. Even fewer know how to translate them into decisions that actually improve performance.

This sprint will take a look back at last year's data with fresh eyes to separate signal from noise. You'll identify which efficiency metrics actually matter, where they come from, and how reliable they are so that you can make informed adjustments now before the busy seasons kicks in.

Who This Sprint Is For

This sprint is for those managers and directors who want to learn how to make data-driven decisions around field operations. It's a great fit if:

Your Role

  • You are a Director of Operations or Operations Manager, or you are an Owner, GM or Branch Manager heavily involved with operations
  • You are responsible for crew productivity, labor performance or job execution
  • Regularly field questions about labor efficiency without feeling confident in the answers

Your Current State

  • You can see crew efficiency numbers in Aspire, but aren't sure how much to trust them
  • Suspect last year's data holds insights you haven't fully unpacked
  • You want to make adjustments before the season picks up, rather than mid-crisis

Your Mindset

  • Consider yourself a beginner to intermediate Aspire user, or have at least one year of consistent data in Aspire
  • Are willing to look honestly at the data, even if it challenges your assumptions
  • Can commit at least ~2 hours/week to focus on analysis and action

What You'll Get

You'll walk away with:

And most importantly: you'll stop treating crew efficiency as a mysterious scoreboard and start using it as a tool to make better operational decisions.

Week-by-Week Breakdown

This sprint is designed to slide into your already busy schedule. Each phase is designed to take about two hours, with progress building week over week so you're never trying to fix everything at once.

Week 1: Build the Foundation

Get grounded in what crew efficiency actually represents in your operation.

You'll identify the key efficiency metrics you want to evaluate, understand how they're calculated, and locate where the data lives in Aspire. This week focuses on establishing a clean starting point and aligning on what "good" even means in your context.

Week 2: Discover and Validate

Dig into last year's data and pressure-test what you're seeing.

You'll trace efficiency numbers back to their inputs, identify potential sources of distortion, and assess data integrity. This week is about asking better questions and learning how to spot patterns worth paying attention to.

Week 3: Analyze and Act

This is where we turn insights into decisions.

You'll analyze trends, compare crews or time periods, and identify where efficiency gaps may be driven by process, scope, scheduling, or data issues. A 1:1 support call helps you work through a real scenario and decide what actions are worth taking now versus monitoring later.

Week 4: Sustain and Apply

Lock in what you've learned and prepare for the season ahead.

You'll document your review process, decide how often to revisit efficiency metrics, and identify one or two concrete changes to test as the season ramps up. The goal is not perfection, it's clarity, consistency, and readiness.

Personalized Support & Accountability

You'll work through the sprint alongside a small cohort of peers who are wrestling with similar operational questions.

Support includes:

You're not just learning, you're implementing, with structure and support.

Meet Your Instructors

This sprint is led by Darrin and Paula from the Beyond the Software team. With years of hands-on Aspire experience, they take a coaching approach grounded in action rather than theory. They guide, not dictate.

The goal isn't dependency. The goal is capability. Our best outcome is watching you finish the sprint with confidence.

Panel 3: Operations-First Framing

Crew efficiency is explored in operational terms: work tickets, schedules, scope, and field realities.

Price & ROI

Optional add-ons are available for additional 1:1 support or private delivery, but everyone receives the same core sprint experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Plan for about two hours per week. The work is intentionally scoped to fit alongside your existing responsibilities.

Not required, but highly recommended. Recordings are available.

No. In fact, identifying data limitations is a core part of the sprint.

Not necessarily. The focus is understanding trends, drivers, and opportunities, not ranking people.

You'll leave with informed options and clear next steps, but decisions stay grounded in your operation.
